VOLUNTEER PLANNING SUBCOMMITTEE
Goal: Provide volunteers for the BOOKMARKS Festival and set-up/author party. In addition help find volunteers for outreach opportunities and pre-festival activities.
Description (planning):
- Develop Volunteer Recruitment Plan
- Solicit volunteers —this committee will have one member act as lead to each of the other subcommittees, recruiting volunteers for that subcommittee
- Publicize volunteer needs
- Determine volunteer needs — determine tasks & number of volunteers
- Develop/maintain volunteer lists per needs & volunteers’ interests
- Responsible for volunteer communication/scheduling
- Develop and conduct volunteer training
Description (during Festival):
- On-site check in/ assignment of volunteers
- Volunteer coordination during event
- Oversee volunteer hospitality
Busiest During: June-September
